Default Winterizing-advice

I visited the other forum for help on this but couldn't get it. Several people here suggested that I put something in with my gas and fill up before storing it. Can't remember the name of the stuff-stabilizer? Can anyone help me out with what I have to get and what brand to look for?

In addition, I need to get something to put on my battery. Can you help me with the name of what I have to get and what brand to look for there?

As you can see, I'm COMPLETELY new to this. Thanks for the help!

Sta-Bil for the gas.

Close dryer sheets in the passenger compt to keep critters out.

Start it and drive around the block once a week.

This is ProfMoriarty's recipe for storage success:

1. Fill gas tank and add Sta-Bil (7.5 oz.); run through fuel lines.

2. Change oil and filter.

3. Park on moisture barrier

4. Inflate tires to 38 psi cold.

5. Apply sealant, wax, etc. to exterior paint.

6. Apply leather dressing to seat panel.

7. Apply vinyl dressing to interior; and to exterior black trim pieces.

8. Hook up Batter Tender. Run wire into engine compartment from underneath car and duct tape exposed wire to floor so you don't trip over it and yank it out.

9. Crack windows a bit.

10. Cover with Wolf Dustop inside car cover.

11. Wait for Spring.

Wait for the spring is the hardest thing to do on that list!

I can't sit here and look at my vette all winter. As long as there is no snow or ice, I drive it. Bad enough my boat is layed up for the winter.
