Putting the Z06 front fenders, rear quarter panels and front bumper on, I just did the rear quarter panels so I could put the 19x12 rear wheels on.

Widebody is the body style from the Z06. It is wider than the base Corvette and some other syling points. Most prominant extra width can be seen over over the wheels where the body flares out. Some people are getting after-market wide body parts an putting them on their base Corvette. Widebody for the base Corvette is not an option from GM (although many wish it were). Look at the numerous pictures on the forum to see the difference between base and Z06 and after-market windebody.

Any problems with color matching ? Mine will be JSB, not sure if I will even do it at all, just wondering.

If you do it, send your fuel door, a "good body shop" can match the paint.

The widebody kit will let you replace the stock tire on the right with the one on the left which is a 345/30/19 on 19"x13" wheels.

Welcome to the forum. Some of the others may be confusing you with verbal descriptions of what a "widebody" is. This picture from a recent corvette show may end the confusion:

Hint: it's parked between the 2 orange C6's.

Now you are confusing him. A Corvette has a widebody whereas that's a widebooty. One is desirable, the other is not.

I guess I am confused. If an owner wants to change the base model to a widebody the cost has to be thousands of dollars. Sticker on my 08 was 57,000 and some change at that point why not actually buy the
Z06 and also gain the added performance. And further more as everyone knows modification only negatively impacts the car long term.

The reason for me is the top doesn't come off! It would have been cheaper for me to buy a Z06 tho...

the reasons are not always based on financial reasoning, although I have an 05 that cost $45k. with wheels, tires and body parts for the full conversion, I probably spent another 13k, which is still less than a Z, however, add in the supercharger, brakes and other stuff and its getting close. Now take away the depreciation if I had sold my 05 and bought a Z and its not close anymore.

Plus, I like the removable top, and if I did buy a Z, I would have to modify it also, so it would still be much more expensive. Some of us just can't live with stock.
