Default external C6 differences?

Hi all,
Are there noticable external differences in the C6 between years. How do you tell which year a car is? If not external, are there other clues if you are at a local car show for example. I understand that JSB today would tell me 2008. I did not see another thread in searching. Thanks for any tips you might know.

Correct on the wart, but only on those with XM radio option.

Speaking of wheels, chrome wheels were not availabe from the factory on an 05. Lots of them left the lot with dealer-added ones, though.

I'm fairly good at spotting differences and I'd agree: no, it's pretty difficult to spot one year to the next. As said, even the wheels can and have been added or changed.

If you are at a local show and you can get close to see the VIN the sure way to know what year is to look at tenth figure 5 = 05 6 = 06 7 = 07 and so on.

There are almost no differences. As best I recall:
Exterior:
small silver GM badges in front of rear wheels added for 2006-2008.

XM antenna on 2005's was a black wart on the roll hoop or trunk lid, was integrated inside the mirrors in later years, but 2005's without XM wouldn't have a wart either.

Wheels changed in 2008. In 2005-2007 the wheel spokes were narrower at the rim than at the hub, just the opposite in 2008 and a new split spoke wheel was added as the base wheel.

Precision Red on very early 2005's, changed to Victory Red in October 2004 and for 2006-2008.

Millenium Yellow on early 2005's, changed to Velocity Yellow and for 2006-2008

Mag Red on early 2005's, changed to Monterey Red and for 2006-2007 (darker), changed to Crystal Red for 2008 (in between).

LeMans Blue on 2005-2007, Jet Stream Blue on 2008 (lighter).

Daytona Sunset orange on 2005-2006, Atomic orange on 2007-2008 (lighter).

Interior:
Console bright silver in 2005, darker gray in 2006-2007, black carbon fiber in 2008 (and in 2007 Ron Fellows Z06's)

4-spoke steering wheel in 2005, 3-spoke in 2006, 3-spoke (with radio controls if 3LT) in 2007-2008.

4-speed automatic transmission for 2005-no paddles on steering wheel, changed to 6-speed auto trans with paddles for 2006-2008

Console armrest lock deleted for 2007-2008.

I noticed a few previously not mentioned, minor physical differences between my 2006 vs my new 2008.

The hood light, and back hatch pull down handle are both deleted.

The floor mats are now hook mounted, vs previous post mounted.

Also, one positive deletion, the center console for my Z51 does not have an indented area where the "magnetic select ride" control **** would have been. I always hated having a phantom switch area in any of my vehicles.

Everything else IMO, seems to be previously covered

Unless they've removed the chicklets, like me.

I wanted mine to look like an 05, ok not really.

Agreed, but the 2007 Ron Fellows console is the carbon fiber only piece (GM Accessories piece), not like the 2008 base CF with leather surround.
