Question for 08 automatic trans. owners
I have an 08 on order, but it has not been "picked up" by GM yet so I can still make changes. My 2004 with the optional gear wouldn't turn the tires over on good pavement and I was planning on ordering the optional gear on the '08. There is another thread talking about 08's with manual transmissions having traction problems due to wheel spin. I only drove an '08 briefly and I did not want to be to aggressive with it.
Will the '08 automatic spin the tires on good pavement? Does any one with the optional gear have problems getting it to hook up?

Stock at the track with a good burnout no traction problem. On the street when it was stock would spin the tires from zero but not from a 15 mph roll in D or S. Now with headers, Xcelerator intake and tune, first gear is worthless at WOT on the street at any speed. Will give it a try at the track on Sunday. I plan to make passes with and without TM.
