The president stands on the deck of the Aircraft Carrier and tells the world, "The war is over".

All your brave young men and women come home.
I get your point, but it is an oversimplistic view to think the war was over at this point. It wasn't and still isn't. The only question now is how long are WE (yes, Canada and US) going to continue flushing money down the toilet. Now they want to invade Iran to save Israel since the crackpot leading that country has voiced threats towards them. Does this not sound familiar? Is Canada going to support a war against Iran and are YOUR soldiers going to die there too?

Friends don't let friends drive while drunk.

OK, you are entitled to your opinion of Powell, just as we are entitled to our opinion of YOU.

I admire anyone who serves, we all have made errors with information from people we trust, It takes courage to shoulder the blame. Gravity is nearly the same everywhere on Earth

I have high standards, and Colin Powell would fit those

But the important part he gave up Volvos to get a Corvette

He is one of us

It was not Bush's war, it was mine. It was ours. Congress voted for it. I am an American. I am proud the US stood up to that killer. I'm glad he is dead. We' are winning this war. Do you know that ?

There were no lies- it was common knowledge Saddam had WMD. Was the intel wrong?- maybe, or maybe WMDs went to Syria? Here is info that even that rapist Bubba had the wrong info.

http://theanchoressonline.com/2007/1...eball-on-iraq/

The crack about "San Francisco, fudge packer " was wrong and rude. When I saw San Fran, I thought liberal… and that's a true insult. I know- I was one and am shamed by what I did during Vietnam, dishonoring our solders.

RE "cadguymark" mention of "they want to invade Iran to save Israel " I suspect Israel can take care of itself, but we have there back. I would like US to go after Iran because they fund and supply terrorist ATTACKING OUR SOLDERS. I support the war on Iran, and look forward to it.

You mean like the info that the whole world had? Do you mean like the info of Iraq chemical attacks that killed 10,000 women and children... like the 25k to each terrorist family in Palestinian territory, do you mean the remnants of chemical and nuclear arms found in many of his arms factories.. (I mean baby milk factories), you mean like the invasion of a neighbor.. like Kuwait.. you mean like setting on fire 1000's of oil wells causing the worst ecological diaster of all time.. do you mean like he had 12 years to comply with agreements and failed to do so? You mean like his shooting at our internationally LEGAL no -fly zones?.. You Dems are sickening! Hello, its all tied in you big dope! Its an OVERALL WAR ON TERROR. WESTERN CIVILIZATION VERSUS ISLAMIC NAZIISM~! DO YOU REMEMBER SOMETHING CALLED 911? YOU DOPE!

{{{{per streetpix above}}}}}I have extremely high expectations for my leaders. They are supposed to be better, smarter, more principled, honest, and be more standup than the average citizen.

If you say what you mean, you better not vote for any bleeding heart liberal who wants to continue the senseless killing of unborn babies, perpetuate the constant state of low income of minorities by continually buying their votes with handouts and "keeping them down", and on and on!!

if your leader only has to be above the average citizen, that would explain the politicians we have. why set the bar so low?

Sorry I tried to quote the other idiot on that first passage of my previous post just before yours, the paragraph below it is my writing. You obviously are taking a much hated dog at the Pres as well.

When you find one these above average "politicians" let us all in on it. Many have started out to save the world but in the end all they care about is staying in power. Powell was above that and bowed out when he realized he had been had. He's a great American.

really? If Israel can take care of itself then why do we give them 4 billion every year? Why was it used as a call to invade Iraq? Why is it now being used to fan the flames of war with Iran?

there you have it folks, this guy wants to invade Iran, and after that which country? Syria? North Korea? Pakistan? when should we start goosestepping?

We have met the enemy, and the enemy is us.
