Clear bra installation

Your exactly right! The installer is the key to having a great looking clear bra install. I have been installing clear bra 5+ years now and Corvettes have a challenging front bumper that takes some experience to have it come out looking good.
When you are talking to these installers, don't be afraid to ask how many Vettes they have under their belt or ask to see some of their work.
My second piece of advice would be to not go cheap on your installation. In this business, you truly do get what you pay for and in some cases, more than you bargained for.
A good quality installation should run you between $600 and $850. Substantially lower, and you may want to question the installers experience and/or quality of the film being used.
I would tell you to visit the following for finding an installer in Boston

I would also advise you to try and find someone who is a Ventureshield dealer as apposed to the 3M film. Just my 2 cents.
Feel free to shoot me an email if you have further questions
Thanks for your reply. I sent you a PM but others may benefit from my questions as well.
Why do you recommend Ventureshield over 3M?
My car is on order and is scheduled to come in next week. Can I have the film intalled now or should I let the paint cure for some period of time?
Thanks for your input.

I have been installing clear bra for 5+ years now and in my opinion the Ventureshield film is superior to the 3M because
1.Optically clearer film
2.Significantly less texture in the film
3.Stands up to extreme climates better
A clearer film with less texture, I have found adds to the invisibility of the bra. 3M tends to have an "orange peel" texture to it. And while it's a decent film, most of my clients don't care for the texture look in the film.
I am in North West Florida and it gets pretty hot and steamy around here, not to mention we are surrounded by salt and sand. I consider this area to be fairly extreme as far as the elements of nature are concerned and in my opinion, Ventureshield stands up to the elements better.
To answer your question about waiting to have it installed in regards to paint curing.
Have it installed right away. The factory paint job is baked on and is the preferable surface for clear bra installation. The paint is already cured no need to wait.
The only time the paint curing time is an issue deals with vehicles that have been repainted. If the vehicle is not prepared so that the primer can adhere properly, if the clear coat doesn't have the proper ration of hardener in it, and the paint job as a whole, isn't allowed to cure properly (usually 30-60 days) the clear bra IF removed can possibly peel the paint.
So by all means, please get it covered as soon as you can. Your only regret will be if wait and then get damage.
Check with the dealer, he may use an installer. Then go interview that installer.

You want to go to a place that has installed on Vett's, this is the place. Ask for Dave. He recommended VenturShield over 3M as it didn't exhibit as much of an orange peel look but will do either. It's also warranteed for life.
Some customers have trailered there cars from NY to this place for this intall.
