The C6 has a 6.0L not a 5.2L engine so it must have been downsized.
This is exactly what crossed my mind.

Nice car....perhaps I missed it in the post but has the roof been replaced/repaired? I'd say the car is worth every penny of $36k to $38K given the huge drop in prices of left over 07s and drops in the 08s as well.

you get the old auto with this one...the old engine too. IMO a stripped 08 6 speed would be lots faster and hold value better and cost about the same or less. just my opinion.

new vettes are gettin less expensive by the hour

More like $3k...in driveway jewelry. Sweet car nontheless.

If I had the $30k it would go right into a supercharger and forged internals, along with some wheels and coilover suspension, then you'd have $30k worth of goodies. Then, not only would you have a sweet car, but a very nasty car.

The car is nice as it is more a show car then anything else.

The price the guy is saying he bought the car for $54,000.00 and put in $30,000.00 making his total investment at $84,000.00 and selling it for $45,000.00

The guy must be not all there or a fool for paying that much for an 05, look at the 08's you can get one nicely optioned for around $50K.

The price the guy has is Hawaii prices which is known to be high because we have buyers here who set the dealers prices as they are willing to pay it a dealer sold a new 2006 ZO6 for $107,000.00 here in Hawaii). That same dealer had called me when I was in the market for a performance sport car and they quoted me $104,000.00 for as they said the only ZO6 in the island at that time and it was a Black on Black. I bought a Viper instead. So in the islands stay away from JN Chevrolet, rip off.

BTW way to high for an 05 get yourself a newer car and do the mods yourself which is enjoyment in itself rather then buying a ready made car.

You can get a better deal, believe me...
Are you frickin serious????? You can't put $30,000 in mods on a vette????? You wanna put some money on it??? Maybe not that vette but mine certainly has it!!!!!!Supercharger system and all gauges $9,200 , widebody and wheels, tires, brakes, hood, wing= $13,000, full exhaust headers back to B&B bullets $2500 need I go on??????????? Do you want me to name all my mods???? Rear end with 4.10's and hardened shafts $1600

Silly me. I should have known that I should have gotten out the spit and polish before I posted those pics.

Thanks, everyone, for all the helpful and interesting comments though.

Owning a 6 figured C5 and now over 10k (worth of mods) into the C6 it is very easy to do. Some like bling, some like all out power. If it has the mods you like then buy it. Does it have 30k in mods...as everyone stated..NO.....but if you like what is done offer him 35-37k IMO

Great color though..

Did I powdercoat a set of calipers for a friend of yours? G35 coupe in lavender? That story sounds familiar!

You can pretty easily get up to $30k in mods on a vette. That one has about 5. The carbon fiber is the Aspis stuff which is the best on the market, but there is no engine work at all. I'd say 5K of fluff. That dude is full of ****.

One point to note, whenever you make mods to a stock car, at the time of resale you subtract the cost of the mods from the resale value not add it.
