I am asking because I am looking to purchase around May (earliest) next year and wondering if they will have released or will release the 2009 specs by then so I can decide if a 2008 or wait for a 2009 would be right for me

Stupid things like integrated ipod for Nav (no PAL), bluetooth, and this enormous rumor of the direct injection 6.2 would def make me wait.

If it were going to be the same car, no changes at all I would go 08.

Thanks
I can tell by your usage of the word "sick" that you are three or four decades younger than I. Up until recently sick meant ill as in puking your guts out. But that's not important.

Given that you mean sick to mean GREAT! what makes you think the 2012 vette is going to be so much better young bro? hmmmmm?

In 1969 ( and I recall it very well thank you ) we might have looked ahead four or five years and wondered if we should wait and buy a '75 because that just had to be much better. You know, better than 427, and ho po 350s and lots of hp etc.

LOL on us. If you know anything about old vettes you know which car comes out way ahead in a '69 vs '75 contest and it's NOT the '75!

With green activists, price of gas, yahoos preaching global warming, the economy etc etc......the same thing will probably happen again. I think what we have NOW are likely to be the best vettes of all time.

The breed is probably going to suffer drastic domestication inthe next few years....as in look for hp decrease NOT increases. This may sound impossible to your young mind but trust me it's not.

Well it may be more of a locational thing but that is pretty common terms here for "GREAT". Im 30 from NJ so I am not some 18 year old punk.

Anyhoooo. I am very aware of older cars. I Have already owned a 1968 GTO drop top with a 400 turbo 400 his hers. I know quite a bit more then you would think about the history of american muscle.

I agree with what you are saying about the gas crisis on the 70s but I am not sure that history is ready to repeat itself. I am in no way anticipating the 2012 model other then it is the release of the C7. I am simply looking at the options of 2008 vs 2009
