Default factory X pipe?

my '08 AO MN6 Z51 coupe arrived at the dealership

I purchased a set of Corsa sports and a Corsa X pipe to go on the new car

my '05 had an H pipe, I believe

when the car went on the lift to install the exhaust, we found that there was an X pipe, not an H pipe, from the factory

should I leave the factory X pipe and just mount the sports, or should I replace the factory X pipe with the Corsa X pipe

BTW - I tried to post pictures, but couldn't do it

any help in learning how to post pictures would be greatly appreciated

All 2008's got an x-pipe to replace the h-pipe from 2005-2007. I wouldn't see any value in replacing it.

Have a look at this thread for help with posting pics:

Don't see any point in replacing an X pipe with an X pipe. Sell it and keep your costs down.

Default X pipe

I just got my new '08 a weekago today and have seen the same thing. I believe it is just another example of the factory taking the lead from the aftermarket tuners. It's one of the many small improvements that add up to make the extra power of the LS3.

Damn if that was a Borla X pipe I would buy it from you. But the others said it no need to replace an x pipe with another x pipe.
