Default Ground clearance

I have a downward slop drive into the garage and am concerned about clearing that front chin as I pull in. About how much clearance is there? Anyone know how far past the front wheels the spoiler is? I am trying to calculate if I will have a problem before they pour cement so I can see if it will be possible to fix a problem before it is a problem. I plan to order in Jan. Thanks

Good question. While I don't have the driveway problem, I do occasionaly manage to scrape my air-dam/spoiler on speedbumps and high-crowned roads.

What I'd like to know: is the polymer air dam under the car articulated so it swings out of the way when going over bumps?

In any event, how difficult is it to replace the air dam once scuffed to a "fare-thee-well" and what's it cost to replace?

It is kind of annoying, isn't it?

The leading edge of the plastic chin spolier is approximately ten inches in front of the front edge of the tire and is 3 inches from the ground. . . the "hard parts" of the car-- radiator supports-- have a clearance of 5 inches at the front.

The spoiler isn't articulating per se, but is obviously flexible, and it's fairly easy to replace any of the 3 pieces. Center section is about $60, sides are $20.

It's a bit unnerving frankly, because it scrapes on just about everything, but has enough flexibility that little damage is done as a general rule - - it's just that nasty scraping sound that's can make you nuts..

Hope this helps answer your questions.

Gene Culley carries these parts.

The valence on the Z06 is one continuous piece. Diagram, prices, and ordering info can be found at this link:

The valence on the C6 coupe and vert is in 3 sections. The corresponding information can be found at these links:
