Crazy Problem

Yesterday the nav screen went out and then it came back on hrs. later , now dash lights did not come on and then like magic it came on,once before it wouldn:t start , it was like a dead battery, then it decieded to start ,any body with this crazyness?

I've not had any problems like that with my 06, but several who have and posted here, indicated it was usually a car battery about to go bad.

What's your voltage like... low voltage will cause many weird problems... as will a faulty ground..

How old is the battery? Seems 2 to 3 years is about the normal life span on the factory batt.

Check the battery terminal post connections. I had a similar prob with my '98. The pos. cable was loose. Had erratic shutdowns...

I have problems if my cell phone is on the charger under the console - she just won't start.

If the battery, cables and alternator check out OK then I would look for a bad ground. Corvettes have a long history of grounding issues mainly due to the fact that the bodys are fiberglass, and I'm sure the C6 is no different.
