Yes, I'm a big fan of Mythbusters (I'm watching them do the "shooting fish in a barrel right now).
The Mythbusters test was whether or not (binary outcome) a PHOTO could be taken of a "blocked" plate. OTOH, the guysoflidar.com tested the RELATIVE EFFECTIVE RANGE of laser guns. Two completely different tests. One has nothing to do with the other. Furthermore, the guysoflidar.com drew no conclusions of any kind. They merely reported their findings with their actual data.
If you read the guysoflidar.com stealth coating test, you'll see they only test ONE type: the "VEIL Stealth Coating" using two diffenent laser guns (Stalker LZ-1 & Kustom ProLaser III). I'll leave it up to you to interpret their results.
