Wow, there sure are a lot of Vettes in Florida. I've been on an extended road trip to home in Arizona since I took delivery from Les Stanford in Mich. on Nov. 8. In 3400 miles and 9 states so far, I've seen only 2 until I got to Florida. Then the floodgates opened and they're all over the place. What's up with that?
I even met a beautiful blonde (claimed she was 87 ) in a new VR Z06 travelling my way on the panhandle. Had to behave myself with wife along.
From: Boca Raton Inlet, Atlantic Ocean (Floridas east coast)
WELCOME WELCOME!
Lots of people on CF live down here in Florida. We have beautiful weather year round and the roads are smooth and flat without potholes! Makes for perfect "vetting"
Take today for example gonna be 85, beautiful blue sky, But I must confess Sunday is my Bike day, so getting ready to head over to the Everglades, although I did spend 4 hours detailing last night with my new Porter cable and lotions n potions, I should go show off the vette.
When I first started posting here, I was unhappy with the Corvette's numb chassis feel on a decreasing radius, off camber, up or downhill turn on a Connecticut back road. Now that I've been living in South Florida these last few weeks, I don't even notice that the Corvette's handling feel isn't as good as its european rivals. All the roads are flat and straight here! The only time I turn the steering wheel is at a stop sign. This is the perfect car for FL. Really powerful A/C and lots of power for cut-and-thrust Miami traffic!

Great state for Vettes, nice weather and roads. The only problem is love bugs.

I'll put up with lovebugs over cold weather and snow. They are around for a couple weeks in the spring and fall... no big deal in a cager...big deal on the bikes.
For the OP. You now know why the "wave" isn't such a big deal down here. You'd be waving all the time and with dark tine you can't see the occupants anyway.

It's never cold in Florida anymore, and we get less and less rain each year. So that adds up to nice driving weather for us Vette lovers.
