The visor is not held in by screws. If you look at the base of the visor you will see the track where it rotates side to side. In the center there is a slot perpindicular to the arc of rotation. You will need to fold the visor down and place a flat blade screwdriver in to that slot.
Now rotate the visor towards the side window while holding the screwdriver in the slot. You want the arm of the visor to press against the screwdriver as you rotate. At about 45 degrees towards the window you will be able to pull the assembly down out of the roof.
The huge visor arm really bothers me from both a safety, looks and weight perspective. Does anyone know of a replacement that has a much smaller arm supporting the visor?
Why does the visor need such a huge support arm? Seems like GM missed an opportunity to save some money here.
