Default 05 C6 Do Over....

I like my 05 so much I bought a second one! After attending the Corvette Museum school at Spring Mountain, some great tips from my instructor Steve Landstra, I was really bit hard by the Road Racing bug. I have done 6-7 events over the last ten years or so but driving my car there those two days was a whole new experience. My black 05 that I have had for a few years now is a great car, runs mid 11's with very few mods but the auto tranny just doesnt cut it on the road course. So after lots of careful thinking about all my options I decided to go with another 05 but this time with Z51 and a six speed manual tranny and a color change! I have had it for 24 hours now, already got my wheels and tires on it along with my Vararam. My headers come off the black car tomorrow and on to the new orange car asap, then tune, etc...The car I bought only has 20k on it and seems very tight, just feels like a new car again. Quick pic below. Now to get the stuff off of the black car that I can use on the orange and then detail it out so I can sell it. Going to Buttonwillow on the 15th for another fun day at the track, cant wait!
Matt

What manual tranny mods do you guys recomend? I already did a skip shift elemenator, tranny fluid will get changed out in the next day or two along with all the other fluids...Should I go with a new shifter? What do you guys prefer? This is only my third Vette but my 54th car, I have not owned a modern manual tranny car yet. I have been slamming through the gears alot yesterday and today, I dont seem to have any trouble finding third even going ***** out

Man I really like the 3:42's and great freeway gas milaege.First gear is already pretty short....I do have an extra 05 rear diff I might send out to get built up.....

I get just a little wheel hop when I really hammer it, might get a rear diff brace to help keep it from breaking? Anything else I can do to stop the hop?

Keep an eye on the clutch fluid and change it out every so often.
