Hello fellow corvette owners. Need some advice. I have a 2005 with an auto xmission and was noticing that the service manual shows the oil should be changed at 50000miles(first time). I think it would be wise to have it changed early the first time. I have 28000 trouble free miles on it now. What do you think? Am I going to throw away 160bucks having it changed early??
The only trouble I have has with the drive train is the rumble with sharp turns and the SB fixed that about 10000miles ago. The tranny fluid change should not affect that. Thanks

A good rule of thumb to follow is every 2 years or 24,000 miles IF you plan to keep the car and get the MOST miles from it. Otherwise just follow what the manual says. 
I'm sure you'll get a bunch of different opinions here but just do what YOU are comfortable with.

Besides the mileage it normally also states or 1 year which you have went way past.

My 2006 owner's manual says to change it every 50K miles.
You use the manual to tell you when to service the rest of the vette, why not the tranny fluid?
