you know...inside the doors, hood, and hatch. a couple vendors offer these. now that they've been out for a while has anyone experienced any problems yet? i got a set several weeks before i even had my car and haven't installed them yet. there will be some extra time for me to kill now so just wanted to get some impressions from other customers.
To each their own, but I'd rather see a set that is painted the same color as the car. Make them disapear insted of jumping out. They may look good on silver. Let's see pic's after you install them.

I'd worry about rust also. You never know about the quality.

On the sets we offer, we suggest you clear coat them once they're installed. I've had a set that's been clear coated and after 6 months they still look new with no signs of rust. Anyone that has purchased a set from us and failed to clear coat them and they show signs of rust, PM or email us and we'll send another set free of charge. NOTE: You can use clear nail polish, that works just as well. Hope this helps your decision....our sets are $24.95 for C6 Coupe.
Actually there are 2 types of chrome-look screws. One is supposed to be a stainless (grade 18/8 I believe) washer/screw combination. Depending upon the grade of stainless steel, these may eventually rust. Some imported stainless steel is stainless in name only - it develops surface rust within a short period of time.
The other type of screw is the chrome plastic cap that fits over a screw that holds down a clear plastic button. this is a 3-piece unit. The chrome cap then press fits over the button, thereby hiding the screw. Note that to get at the screw, you have to pry off the cap. This set is sold by RPI. When installed, all you see are attractive chrome caps.
