I bought one at wal-mart for about 15 bucks. I don't know why you would need a heavy-duty one. I hope I never have to use mine.

I have the Conticomfort kit in mine as I no longer have runcraps on my car. I got it from tire Rack here

I'm not sure I'd call any portable unit "heavy-duty", but the Conti seems to be a solid, well-made unit. Certainly adequate for filling a flat tire, or putting a few PSI in four of them.

I have a very heavy duty portable compressor actually it is a kit from a BMW M3 called a M-Mobility Kit, which comes with compressor and tire sealant.
I had this for my BMW 645ci which had run-flats but I switched to conventional tires which I will be doing for the Vette. Plus I have roadside assistance and free towing.

Sears has a $20 model as well. If you looking for emergency only go with the $20 one. If you are going to use it occasionally, the $40 unit is better. I have their $20 with a plug kit and tools in the back (non-runflats on now)

Buy the one with the 'preset' feature. Its about $10-15 extra, and well worth it.
