Default CoW tune

Chuck of CoW did a fine tune today on my '08 that had already had the mail order tune. He found just a couple spots to fine tune and added some new extras that were not available tree months ago. He also did a great sales job on convincing me to go for the 4.10's instead of a cam.
Great job and thanks, Chuck!
This was done at Sound Blazers in Coral Springs, FL while Chuck visited. I had Sound Blazers install a Pioneer AVIC-Z2 while I was there and they did a fine job on the install and getting me started on learning all the units capabilities. I would highly recommend Mike & Sam for any car audio you are considering.

I got tuned there yesterday, my engine and tranny react now when I put my foot down. As for the Folks at sound blazers they are very professional several guys had installs done yesterday and were extremely happy with them. What a great combination get your stereo upgraded while you wait on Chuck. Great day yesterday.

I couldn't agree more guys. I had my tune done today by Chuck and what a super nice guy!

You know many people in the forums revere the guy, it's like he's the jesus christ of corvettes or something and I'm always skeptical about these things. With the numerous posts about the seat of the pants meter and how the sleeping giant woke up, blah blah blah. Going in I was thinking "hey, it's a friggin corvette what kind of miracles is this guy really going to work after all?".

Well, You talk to him for 5 minutes about your car or just watch him in action and you soon realize just why it's that way. I watched all these guys coming back from getting their tune and the big a$$ goofy smiles on their faces. Well, I came back in when the car was done and guess what, I had one of them big *** goofy smiles too. So, Yeah! I'm a believer now too! I can see why everyone takes his word as the corvette gospel.

I want to post a full detail of my experience with the car and the changes but I'm going to wait a couple days to do that, I still need the thermostat installed.

The car is clearly different now and just about everything I heard, I'd agree with at this point.

Kudos to Chuck & Corinna for taking great care of us and our cars and Kudos to the gents at Soundblazers for letting us all take over their store. Without question if I'm going to get some audio work done I'm going to trust these guys to do it.

Jess

Lucky guys, still trying to get Chuck to Hawaii, would love some 3.42s and his tune.

I agree with everything said above.

It was also great meeting everyone there.

I think one of my favorite things that comes from meeting a bunch of Vette guys is that you hear a lot of stories and find out where to go for work on your car, and just as importantly, where not to go.

Thanks everyone.

Chuck I am glad talked Jason into calling you. I have talked t you about a month ago about Auto Cal and getting you out to CA but when you mentioned FL I told Jason and the rest is history. Apparently his car was really difficult for you. I can say that he called me 3am after you finished and he was really happy and he wanted everyone to know that the tune would even be worth it if it was $500 and driving to New York to get it.

He said you mentioned a place out here that called you so I am gonna try to get them as a location and then I will try to get some peop's signed up so we can get you out here!!!

Joe

P.S. I need the Auto Cal What's the word!

Default Chuck

I agree with all of the assesments. Chuck tuned my car in AZ and it was a totally new experience. I drove to vegas after the tune and I did not want to get out. The car was a total beast afterward and it was so much more fun to drive. If you are ever near an area where Chuck is going to tune, don't hesitate. YOU will be sorry.

I missed out on last years Orlando Florida tune because I didnt want to put that many miles on my 06 A6. Lucky me Chuck came down here to Coral Springs and only a 20 minute drive away!
I called Chuck a couple weeks before he came down asking a bunch of questions I had written down. After all were fully explained I couldnt wait to give my down payment and secure my spot.
Chuck is a great guy with a passion for Corvettes. We talked a bit more about the tune before letting him work his magic. When the car was completed and I took my first drive several things were apparent. The car drove and shifted just as smooth when driving casual as it did before the tune. However when you throttle up the transmission shifts quicker, harder and at higher RPM's. In paddle mode it shifts faster and also when coming to a complete stop the car down shifts to 1st gear not 2nd. (What was GM thinking with that one! I understand if the car started in 2nd gear while in "D" but not in "S" and certainly not in paddle mode!). The electric fans also kick on sooner which is very desired here in South Florida.
I am very happy with the tune as it made my car not only more fun to drive but now performs overall better then ever.

I think he brings it in his carry-on luggage .

Actually when he came out to Phoenix a local dyno shop hosted the event and gave a discount on dyno pulls for us.

There is no negative effect.....The car will pass the emissions test in every state of the union....

Actually, The way they are calibrated from GM, they are excessively rich at the bigger throttle openings and pollute really bad.

That's why your back bumper gets all that soot on it.....

One of the ways we give the car more power is by running it cleaner and more efficiently.......and there will be less soot on your bumper.

Don't sweat it.
