Default Those with Route 66 Evolution, question

Do you get any drone AT ALL? Is there a lot of popping on deceleration? Only those with the Evolution please respond.

I have that on my 07 M6 vert. There is no system out there that does not have the drone in the 1400 to 1900 rpm range regardless of what anyone says. The stock even has it but it is very very muted. Having said that, I orginally had route 66 and xpipe. No popping, some burble on shift and decelerate, problem was the drone in the above rpm range, was at least too much for me. I switched the xpipe for the PRT xpipe (this is the evolution system). 95% of the drone is gone. There is still a little bit of burble when shifting and deceleration. I like the system now. What you want and can tolerate is entirely up to you, the above is my opinion from the last couple of months changing the exhaust around.

Very informative! Did the volume of the exhaust decrease after you installed the PRT?

Hey Ditch!
I haven't had my '06 C6 coupe very long, but can tell you I really like the BB Evolution system. Top off, it sounds very good- nice rumble @ idle - great WOT roar. The burbling deceleration is subjective- I LOVE it, and use the paddles to accentuate it! I'm not that familiar with "droning", but DO experience some irritating resonance with top-on ,windows closed, cruising in the sub-2000 RPM range which wasn't noticeable with the top off. I have not been on a long distance run in high gears to evaluate, but assume you could control drone with choice of RPM range through gear selection. BTW, the 4" ovals look bada$$

Hope this helps!

Overall it is a little quieter but not that much.

Dan,

I was leaning towards the 3.5" rounds, but you're right, the 4" ovals look bad ***! I also have the same license plate frame and same color vette as you.
