Has anyone purchased this item for lifting their C6? And lifting the car up 3" is it enough for a medium person to get under and change the oil filter. I have seen the self-built ones but why hassle.

I have Race Ramps which allow you to drive the car right up for almost 2' of work room.

3" lift to do the filter? No you will need to lift the car up especially if it is your first filter change as you may end up wrestling with the filter as it will be on very tight and you will need elbow room.

You don't need to lift the car at all for an oil and filter change.

But you do need the proper tools.

A cap style filter wrench and socket handle or similar makes filter removal a several second job.
