F55 is magnetic selective ride suspension. In other words, the suspension can be adjusted electronically to give a smoother or tighter ride. This is accomplished by using a fluid in the shocks that changes viscosity when exposed to a magnetic current.

It's a suspension option on the base Corvette coupe and convertible that uses MSRC (adjustable magnetic shock technology). GM first used this technology in the 2002 Cadillac Seville. The Ferrari 599 now uses MSRC technology and the new Corvette ZR1 will also. Keep in mind that F55 is a code unique to the base Corvette coupe and convertible. No other vehicles in the world use F55, but they use MSRC technology. MSRC can be incorporated into a performance suspension (like the ZR1 will have) and it also can be incorporated into plush suspension that is set up for older people (like the Corvette coupe and convertible).

It is an optional suspension system on the regular Vette. It consists of adjustable (from the driver's seat) shocks and, since the '07 model year, the same brakes as Z51 (larger cross drilled rotors and larger pads).

It is an adjustable suspension. It utilizes the MSRC technology (magnetic selective ride control) same as the 100K ZR-1 coming out next year.

It is the next generation of a system that debuted on the 2003 C5. There is a good starter article here about the system.

Here is a more in depth technical paper.
