I got in my car yesterday & was going to move it out of the garage shut the door and it wouldn't start , so I went to get out and the door wouldn't open , so here I am locked in my car and I can't get out then I remembered the manual door opener by the floor , I quess I need a battery tender merry xmas to everyone !
I was not taking any chances, I left my hood open, just to be on the safe side, a week before deciding to hook up the battery tender.
Last year I was able to drive my previous 2006 C6 the majority of weekends in Minneapolis, the way this winter is shaping up, it will be March/April before I can drive my new 2008 again.
I went to the dealer and got a two wire pac connector and built a harness that comes out by the wiper for my battery tender. That will also allow me to hook a regular charger to it if the battery goes dead. The female is connected to the battery and I got a plug for the female side for when the charger is not hooked up.
It is the same plug as used on the skip shift connector.
Well .... at least you didn't break the window out
. I remember the one guy that was about to do that, and then, thank goodness, he remembered that the top came off! So he was able to get out by popping the top and climbing out through the roof. What a relief!!
Don't Panic!! You're never trapped. If the emergency tabs don't work, just take the top off! Breath in, breath out!! Then undo the latches and go back in the house.
