Had my appointment with Service today. This is what they found and I will quote the service work order. Basically because I don't know what it means to try and explain it.
"Codes P0700 TCM Request MIL Illumination and P2119 Throttle closed position performance. Check for bulletins or updates for P1129. None found. Perform Diagnostics for P2119 to find no fault. Check Code 1751 Passed. Possibly from 2119 setting code.
No correction performed. CEL reset."
Bottom line.....They turned off the CEL and I still don't know why it came on in the first place. Oh well............
Thanks to those that came back with input on Tuesday.
Wishing everyone on the forum the very best for the coming New Year.
I feel your pain, Terry. It’s frustrating when the dealer’s only solution to the problem is to just “reset.” As you know, mine is going back to the dealer the third time for a recurring problem with the transmission.

Sometimes it is as simple as retightening the gas cap. Sometimes it is a transient condition. Sometimes it is more complicated. Without a code reader it is difficult to know what the problem is. Even with a code reader sometimes it is difficult to know what the problem is or was.
These cars do freak out every once in a while for no apparant reason. If it does it once and is a simple reset, no harm done and as far as I am concerned, it is to be expected. No big deal.
