C6 Export Model
Thanks,

The second problem is if you have your headlights on and use your windshield washers they automatically come on, no choice.
I actually had headlight washers on my 1969 Camaro RS/SS that I never used because you would have to wash the car every time you did. Nice idea, but, really, how often are our cars dirty enough to need a headlight washer...

You can probably order just about any/all of the parts that you want to change either OEM or aftermarket and make the switch after delivery - - -don't know ehther they're all permitted in the US . . .but assuming they are, you can do post-delivery.
That way, when you sell the car, you can return it to factory specs - - the factory just won't build it that way for you.

I imported my car from the US a couple of years ago then needed convert it to Euro spec (SVA test). This company did the conversion for me (www.importmyvehicle.com), so I presume they can supply the parts if you need them. But you’ll be paying in £’s and will have to ship them to the US, so it might be pricy for you. I’m not sure if you can find the parts in the US?
production line already fitted with the European lights. In fact, the
guide even made a point to show our tour group without knowing
where I was from.
They normally then ship to Holland and are sent through PDI in Milton
Keynes but are ready for the road there and then.
The reality though is like you, mine and many others here will be a US
spec car imported independently to the UK thanks to the rate of
exchange that then has to have the lights converted and run the
SVA test.
Therefore, for the original poster, buy a US car and just have the
lights converted to UK spec.
Hope that helps.

Any news on your C6 arriving in the UK yet?
a Camaro after being talked out of it by my girlfriend. :o
Frustrating times now. It's been at the port in the UK for a week now.
Was due to be finally unpacked today, but "System" issues prevented it, so they will try again
tomorrow, but that is now leaving me a logistical nightmare for it to appear at the Autosport show.
It's all a bit like moving house really, all the frustration will no doubt melt away the moment
I drive away in it.
I'll keep you posted.

Seriously, she is a total diamond. She was only 19 then (
and loves the Corvette (even drives it...when I let her!)
In the UK this is used as a side light and is a legal requirement, so we have:
FRONT
Side lights
Dipped beams
Main Beams
SIDE
Indicators
REAR
Red brake lights
Amber indicators
Red fog light
Hope that clears it up.

I hope she is no longer your girlfriend??!!
