I have a 2007 Z51 with stock polished alum. wheels. I plan on doing a wide body conversion and I understand the ZO6 wheel/tire approx. 2" wider? than the stock Z51 wheel/tire. Does any one have a picture of the conversion with Z51 wheel/tires still on. Reason: I'm probably going to have to run the stock setup for a few weeks. Thanks
I wouldn't worry about it if it is only a few weeks. It will look odd....but, what the heck, it is only a few weeks. I had to drive around for over a month without a gas cap cover while my color matching was being done. I can't tell you how many people stopped me to tell me that it was missing. The one that really made me laugh was when I progut the car into the dealer for a service....when the porter brought the car out to me....he got out and saw that it was missing and started to panic, thinking it happend while it was at the dealership. He calmed down quickly when I told him it was like that when I brought it in. Just consider it a temporary step in the process.

You may need some help with adding the widebody parts to your car. If you get me a ticket and a place to stay I will be happy to come over and help you out
...no pics, but it will look odd enough with undersized wheels. If you want to see 13's, look at my avatar/profile. I'm running 19x13's - excellent fit!
Get a pair of 1.5 to 2.0 inch bolt-on billet aluminum spacers off ebay for about $79 bucks. Bolt those on the back to push the standard C6 rear wheels outboard enough to mostly fill in the bigger Z06 fenders.
It's not an ideal solution, but it will allow you to drive around for a long time with the standard C6 wheels without looking like you've gone completely mental.
Make sure you get the billet aluminum (not cast) bolt-on style spacers, check the torque regularly, and you'll be fine until you get the money together for the properly-sized wheels and tires.

Will this setup cause any handling or tire wear issues? Thanks.
I put massive 19" x 13" rear wheels on with 345 nitto invo tires at 13.5" wide. Lots O Grip now. Fronts are now 18" x 9" instead of the 8" wide stock wheels. Everything fits perfectly under the wheel wells.
Here are the rear wheels:
I only did the rear end and I'm pleased to say I'm very happy I spent the $3k to have it done.
I would just wait until I had the wheels and tires and do the whole thing at one time. When your done...your face will hurt because that darn grin will be stuck on your face for a long time!!!!

My only caveat to that, is at least when its in the shop, have the old wheels on and drive it home that way and change yourself. If you do get new wheels, you don't want them in a body shop while they are working on it.
