Six weeks is a common turn around time, but there are a few things that can change it. The most important factor is that the dealer entering the order is not the event that starts the clock. The dealer has to have an allocation for the order and it's not until the order is paired up with an allocation from the dealer that clock starts ticking.
Shortly after the order and dealer's allocation are accepted by the assembly plant, your order will be assigned a target production week (TPW). Once this happens, your salesman can get the TPW for and at that point you will know what production week your Vette will be built in.
