Anyone else ever have this issue with their C6 A6. I've got less than 5000 miles and I went to us the cruise and it wouldn't engage. I looked at the fuse box , as well as, in the book for the fuse and it wasn't listed. Does anyone have any ideas?

It was working just fine a few days ago.
Try using your foot and making sure that the brake pedel is all the way up. A little down and cruise will not work.
Mine went out about 4 or 5 months ago. Although the fuse seemed to be good, I got the service dept. at my local dealer to give me another one. That still didn't fix it.
When I took it to the dealer, he had to replace the BCM, under warranty. That fixed it - no problems since.
Does your A6 go into 1st gear when this happens? The reason I'm asking is, I've had problems with my transmission. Whenever it won't shift into 1st gear, I've lost the ability to engage cruise control. Dealer says transmission problem is causing the cruise control problem. Today the car is at the dealer for the 3rd "fix." My next option maybe the lemon law........
Yesterday while out driving I decided to try the cruise again and much to my amazement it worked. I have no idea why it didn't work for several days but it works now. Must of been some electrical fluke.
Just FYI, I know the C5 has a dedicated switch on the clutch pedal at the top that must be depressed for cruise to work. This is not the switch on the firewall, but under the kick panel. The problem usually rears its head when a master cylinder has been changes, or if you've done some work under the panel.
Again, I'm not sure if they did away with it on the C6, but my C5 has it, and I had to adjust it to get the cc to work. Unless you get it adjusted right, it could be intermittent as well. Just my $0.02.
The Cruise Control fuse is in the passenger side footwell fuse box. See page 422 of your Owners Manual, its listed in the column on the right. It has its own fuse.
