Default Finally got a build date!

Woohoo - After a wait that seemed like it would never end, I got an e-mail this morning from Lori at the Musuem telling me what my build date is!

1/22/08 Marriage at 10:30 AM

I plan on doing both the Buyer's tour & Museum delivery based upon the feedback from this forum - thanks to those that have taken the time to write and post your experiences, and to those that also responded to my PM's!

My current best guess for delivery is 2/4, but that will get set once my brother gets his schedule arranged so we can drive the car back to sunny Southern Cal.

Congratulations Kevin! What color combo and options are you having built? Wish I could have done the buyers tour and the museum delivery, but couldn't handle the two week wait back east or two flights back east. Glad it is going to work out for you. Have a great drive back to California. My return trip this past summer was a vacation of a lifetime. We are expecting a report and pics when you return.

Hi Gene - I'm getting an arctic white vert, black top, 2-tone red/black interior. NPP (Ed's M2W on order), MN6, and Z51...also have an ME Stripe package (black w/red accents) from Mike at Corvette Stripes.

I opted for the 2LT trim level because I ABSOLUTELY don't want a power top. I keep my cars for a looonnggg time so I would have to eventually deal with broken down/leaking hyrdaulics, burned out electric motors, and who knows how many micro-switches and actuators - I really wanted HUD, but since GM in their infinite wisdom did not allow for a power top delete option, it was 2LT for me. The other items that came w/3LT were not really important so I've just been acquiring other cosmetic mods with the $ not spent on 3LT from factory.

If you take 2/1 delivery, I will see you there. My build date is also 1/22. My neighbor and I will be picking up our Vettes at the Museum on 2/1. He is getting a black vert; mine is a CRM Vert. The days seem to be getting longer.

That sounds like an awesome combination. Looking forward to some pics.

I thought 2/1 would happen but a business meeting in Austix, TX, got pushed out an extra day so can't get there in time! Have fun - would have been fun to see 3 verts roll out close together - too bad we won't likely have the conditions needed for top down motoring!
