Default "Lugging" along....

I was doing some winter "passing the time til Spring" detailing work on my '05 OEM wheels. I bought the car used and noticed that some, but not all of the lug nuts appear to have been worked on by Gomer Pyle down at the Mayberry Garage.

Some were pretty scratched and mangled. Just wondering if anyone has replaced lug nuts? Are there after market ones available for an
'05? Do you need to replace all to keep the "look" consistent? Am I being **** retentive? I am not paranoid....do you think I am?

I have thought about putting Gorilla nuts on mine. There is a link somewhere to buy them but can't find it, (not enough coffee yet). I'll look again later.

Here is a discussion on Gorilla and MacGard (SP?) any ways, hope this helps.

Thanks...I see by your signature you may be a "former" Bimmer-head". I still have my '04 330i. I've told friends that a BMW seems nimble refined and well behaved. The Vette is that brutish, unshaven friend that you'd rather have on your side when there's a bar fight! They both have their places in your life!

Yep, I've had a 96 328i, my first love, then a 2002 535 and a 2003 Z4, of all of them the 328 was my favorite and the one I traded in on the C6. I still wish I had the 328 but glad I have the C6.

Just an FYI on the '96 328i, a lady-friend of mine has one. Her son lost lost control in it the other night and rolled it, several times. To the car's benefit, the passenger cabin stayed together and the two inside survived. Must be a decent car to do that.

I'd recommend McGard over Gorilla every time. Better quality, by far. Compare for yourself. I'd skip locks, though, because they're worthless. You can buy lock removal tool kits easily from most automotive tool web sites.

McGard also manufacturers in the US, in western NY. Another plus.
