Youngest owner?
I bought my C6 when I was 19. With money that I earned, not my mom or dad. I'm now 20. I think I must be one of the youngest C6 owners on this forum. And probably Washington state. Is there anyone else on this forum that bought their C6 as a teen or maybe in their twenties?

I'm 24.
But what do you mean without Mom and Dad? Do Mom and Dad make you pay part of the electric bill, the water bill, sewer bill, gas bill. Do they charge you for rent? How about health insurance? Clothing?
My Dad could have had 3 Corvette's with the money he spent raising me and sending me to college, so I thought the only proper thing to do was to buy him a present. Read here.

I know about 9 years ago I was the youngest kid on the block. I started buying my new vettes in '98 when I was 19... Of course the forum was much much smaller back then. Much smaller. About 8 C5's and and 3 C6Z's later, I'm just a middle-aged guy like everyone else here....
Enjoy it. It doesn't last.................................... .........

Something someone else said above that struck a nerve...
Yes, I am a self made man and bought everything on my own, but damn my parents made SO many sacrifices for me. I wouldn't be half the man I am today without the sacrifices they made for me.
Thanks Mom and Dad.
Yes, I bought the vettes (and houses, boats, and planes) on my own at a very young age, but I damn sure wouldn't have been able to had they not sent me to the finest schools and demanded the very best from me.
Thanks Mom and Dad!
I hope I'll have half the parenting skills they have when my time comes.

Good to see young people working hard to get what they want, and it is good to see that they recognize their parents for raising them correctly so that they could buy a Corvette.
I bought mine when I was 21 years old, but as was already stated it was because my parents raised me to work hard and the rewards would come. Yes, thanks mom and dad!

Man how times have changed. Good grades and you get a corvette ?? I have 2 kids and they will be lucky to get a Yaris or a used 74 Vega. Consider yourself special and thank your parents each and every day. You should get good grades through your 30's when you receive your Doctorate.

I just would like to know what exactly a 19 year old does for a living, that allows him to buy a 40-50k car. There is one guy on here who says he is 21 or so and a full time student, and yet he bought his own house Vette and Truck. Just wondering what all you teenagers do to earn the money. And this inst a jealousy thread. I am on my 5th Vette, and the first 4 were Z06's. Bought my first one in 03 when I was 32.

I have a customer who is 18 works 2 jobs and pays for his car...and goes to school part time...I give him credit he loves his car and works his tail off to achive his goals. Not everyone that young gets it handed to them. I had my first Vette at 20, not a new one, but I remember back then I took a lot of heat from many people who would say some pretty nast things. I am 42 and still buying my own cars...and now I wish someone would give me one, I wouldn't care what anyone would say

1993 for me.I doubt I did better. I just have no regard for money apparently. Do you think we get the football team turned around next year?
