Flowmaster pipe bent?
Just ordered them and opened up the box today, i noticed that one of the pipes was a little bent...is this a big deal? Should I just give it a few hits with a hammer or have them replace it?

Send it back, on their dime. The Flows are hard enough to fit up (if DIY in back yard) even when not bent. You could end up fighting that thing for hours, or it could fit right into place. It's Flowmaster's problem, I would let them take care of it. If you start hammering on it, they might not take it back.

You need that thing darn near perfectly round to fit as intended (slip joint). You'll never achieve that with a hammer - at best you'll get just the end rounded but further up the pipe will still be flattened. Even if you do force it together it will then likely leak and you'll be unhappy.
Either have Flowmaster replace it or take it to a muffler shop, show them $10, and ask them to correct the problem on their machine. Any muffler shop can fix that in 15 seconds.

If you are having a muffler shop install them, they'll fix it with their expander at no extra charge.
If you are doing it yourself, a pair of vice grips and a hammer should fix it no problem. If you are carefull, you will have no problems with the fit.
Mine were bent when they came, and if you send it back, chances are that the new set will be bent too. DQ/AK tubing tends to be a little soft to aid in the bending and expanding process.
Flowmaster should do a bit better with their packaging.

They are ok, they're REALLY deep, but not loud enough for me...i'm gonna save up for the bullets...it was about $350 for everything, took about three hours to do with my FIL's help...our first time so it took a bit, if i ever decide to do it again it'll probably take half the time. I'll post up some video tomorrow...its a good system, but i really wish it was a bit louder.

I have the stock X-pipe on there right now and it does sound good, dont get me wrong, just wish it were louder. I guess I could get headers but that'll be another $1,500 instead of the $500 i could get for the bullets (sell my flowmaster) I hear that they do get louder as you break them in so we'll just see.

You are right about the money, however I spent less than $1300 for the 1 3/4" Melrose, but they did add some lower hertz sound and of course HP to the rear wheels. I think you'd like the added HP. But hey, if you want loud, go for it.
