Default question on differences

does anyone know the what changes were made each year on the c6s? i'm just starting to look into one and i'm not sure what year to look at. i'm not getting a brand new one and i'm not worried about getting one as new as possible. i'm just looking for the most bang for my buck. for example, they moved the xm radio antenna from the back to the mirror. to me that's worth buying a newer model for. thanks!

My best advice would be to buy the latest model year you can afford. With every model year comes some improvement.

If you have an '07 you have a 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and a 5 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. There is no 50,000 mile factory warranty. If your warranty states that it is 50,000 then it is a GMPP (or some third party) extended protection plan that will lengthen the factory protection for an additional fee.

IMO the best bang for the buck is the 05. The 08 has some changes and the new LS3 engine but it will be substantially more and depending on where and how you plan to drive the car you may not notice them.
If you need to have XM with a hidden antenna, start looking for 06+. A lot of people did not get the XM option on their 05s because of the wart on the trunk.
The best thing you could do is go drive a new 08 and then a used 05; compare and see if it worths the extra money. If power is your thing keep in mind that an 05 with the right mods will dust a stock 08. It depends what you want to do with the car.

i use to have an escalade EXT and it added things each year, but it also deleted things each year. so when looking for a used one, you had to balance what was more important to you.

The 2009 added variable ratio power steering, bluetooth for your phone, and chrome rather than aluminum looking flag emblems front and rear.
