Default Vararam for LS3

To those that have LS2's was the Vararam more expensive when it came out than it is now? The intake for the LS3 is around $450 no matter who you ask and I was wondering if this price will come down if I wait or will it remain the same?
Thanks

I'm not sure how much retail was when it came out. Seems like I remember $399. I bought mine through a package deal from Tbryne about a month ago. Predator and Vararam $549. The invoice was $280.49 for the vararam plus shipping. If you wait 2 or 3 years the specials for the 08's will be around, but I bet you don't want to wait.

The reason that all cold air intakes for the 08's are more expensive is beacuse they come with an air meter that the 05-07's don't bring. They run about $150 - $200 more depending.See the link below to Vararam. Hope this helps.
