Thinking about 505a's. How much time/how hard is it to keep up the non clear coated finish? It's not a garage queen and I'm not a big time detailer. I.e. I do not use Q Tips for car care. Solve the problem with I Forged chromes but at a serious cost.

Any non coated polished wheel will take some maintenance.....how much depends on your location, driven in rain,etc....
But,IMO they look much better in polish than chrome....polish doesn't slap you in the mouth with its brashness.
I had a set of CCW 505A's on my DD 02 Z06 & loved them. I drove it rain or shine & only had to go over them about every other month to keep them looking great.
The key is to keep a good coat of wheel wax on them. If not, they will start to turn immediately.
It's like owning a black car. There is more maintenance. How much depends on how you drive it and how picky you are. I would not have them for a daily driver, but as a weekend car I'm okay with the maintenance.
You will have the good weather here in Tucson going for you. Your biggest enemy on C6 wheels is brake dust. At least with 505a you don't have all those small bolt heads around the perimeter (they are a night mare to clean). You will still have to clean inside each of the split spokes. Some of the new wheel cleaners will make it easier.
You could opt for the chrome versions. They will come clean much easier and never require polishing.
I have had my 505s for a year and a half now. John at CCW gave me some Bushes polish and told me to coat the with Rejex after polishing. I have only polished them 3 or 4 times. They still look like new.
