The only discount I have been able to find is the multi year discount on their website. They are very stingy with this marginal benefit service. 
Also, don't forget that you lose your cell phone minutes after a year if you don't use them or buy some once a year. This is a point that ticks me off.

i contacted onstar in december and advised them that i was taking my vert. off the road till april, they made me an offer i could not refuse, keep the onstar active unitl my anniversary date, which is 2/08, then continue till april and then start my subscription in april at 142.00 for the year, plus 100 free phone mins,
I got the SAME deal. I like the free phone minutes.
I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one that got that deal. I told them I was not goingto renew and give me the cancelation dept...then, that is when they offered the "deal."
I satisifed with ONSTAR.
