power seat issues...

power seat issues...
okay, i was cleaning the seats with zaino leather cleaner and then put on the zaino leather conditioner. after that, i went to move my car into the garage and noticed now the power seat switch doesnt work. i checked the fuses. fuses are all good. i open the door and play with the switch, switch now works fine. hmmm. i sit down in the seat to adjust it and the damn thing doesnt work again. what the hell?! so i get out and play with the switch and it's now working again and stops again as soon as i sit in the seat. so i'm thinking the motor is going out. i adjust the seat by standing outside the car. really inconvenient. okay, whatever. i get in the car and go to adjust the telescoping portion of the steering wheel, doesnt work. i take my weight off the seat, the steering wheel starts to telescope. sit back down, it stops. okay, i'm only 5'10" at 190 lbs, so its not like i'm crushing this thing. any ideas?

yeah, parking brake is engaged when i try to move the seat. i'll check the connector in a few. its weird though how whatever the problem is with the seat is also affecting the steering wheel. i'll post back here if i find any problems with the connector. i'm really starting to feel better about getting that GMPP. i've already had to use it once on a hub bearing that went bad.
