Need help with auto top problem
Has anyone with an auto top on your vert ever had this problem: I get a message on the DIC that the trunk folding partition needs to be snapped into place. As you know, by snapping the partition into place a switch is activated which allows the top to open and close. I unsnap the partition and snap it back in again. The top works perfectly. Then I go out for a short drive and something causes the partition to lose the connection with the switch - which means I have to go into the trunk and unsnap the partition and then snap it back on again. When I do that everything works fine. I'm wondering if there is some kind of adjustment that will insure that the partition snaps firmly against the switch so that it doesn't come loose and I have to reset it manually. Anyone with some info on this please sound off. Thanks, Jim

went through the same crap with mine. remove partition. take switch cover off. install a piece of folded up paper under the switch button. what happens is the switch button presses against the partition, which in turn moves around when driving. the paper makes the switch contacts under the button stay in contact with each other. since doing this is have'nt had any more problems............crancky
