Default Caliper paint ??

Is it possible to paint the calipers on the car and do a good job? I want to paint mine to match the car but I don't want to take them off!I want to see what the rest have done!

Yes, you can paint the calipers while they are on the car. I used the G2 paint from Tire Rack which is outstanding. Remove the tire and you will have no problems.

Thanks for the input! I thought I could but wasn't sure. I did not want to make a mess! Thanks again!

I've painted three sets on the car. I used Rustoleum from the local DIY store.

duplicolor makes a nice kit at your local auto store, everything you need. Painted mine red 2 years ago, no problems

Of course you have to take your wheels off which gives you a chance to really clean them but it is very possible to paint with them still on. I used an actual paint kit with a brush. If that is the way you go I recommend buying a different brush from michaels or an arts store cause the one they give you starts to fall apart. If that is the way you go I would at least do 2 coats, if you wanna go more then it would look even better but I did 2 and it looks good.
Good luck,
David

I use the plasticote kit as well as the caliper spray can to paint engine parts, including block, and even the transmission in my CRX and Neon autox cars. The stuff goes on much smoother, and leaves a glossier, smoother coat...It looks great and stays looking good for a long time. I first used it on the CRX calipers two years ago and they still look new...
Good stuff...
