One might consider their error as a complement to the C6, in a way.
One might. One who ownes and knows about 'Vettes. But the layperson who reads the article is going to get the IMPRESSION that the Corvette is a gas hog, and the Audi is gods answer to the engery issue.

It's not that the article criticized the 'Vette; it's that it "paints a picture" that the 'Vette is a fuel hog (which it is, reletive to an '86 Civic HF), but then praises the German Audi for getting worse milage, with a worse poluting fuel! The average Joe, reading that article will come away w/completely the wrong impression. American sports cars use too much gas, the Germans have the answer. That couldn't be further from the truth.
What's sad it's not only cars it's everything in general. If it foreign it's better and if it's USA it's bad........... MSN and many other media have been anti USA for as long as I can remember.......... Blame America first is their motto...........
The press has always been full of screaming liberals who try to justify their means by bashing the USA and trying to make themselves look superior in doing so. They think their misinformed verbage shows they're "sticking up for the little guy". Don't fall for it! The big bad USA... It's so damn obvious - they should get a life! (and a job)
"Still got that article up? W/the pic of the Corvette as the "gas guzzler" and the 24 mpg Audi as the example of "Clean Techology"?
Are you aware that the Corvette Z06 which burns gasoline, and produces 5 horsepower MORE than the Audi, also gets 24 mpg? And that in doing so, produces LESS Carbon/mile than the Audi, due to the fact that gasoline produces less lbs/gallon of carbon when burned than Diesel does.
Your article is misleading and paints MSN as a German-loving, biased, mis-information spreading news source. Fix it."
We think alike!! My response to the same article:
------------------------------------------------
It is ridiculous and misleading to put a picture of a Corvette on the headline of a gas guzzler article. The base Corvette, 436HP, gets 28 MPG. The 505HP Z06 gets 24 MPG. These are levels that exceed or match those of "responsible" cars like the Camry V6. In fact, superior fuel efficiency was a prime Corvette design directive. Ever looked at the mileage of a Viper, Ferrari F430, or Lamborghini Gallardo. Most are in the low teens. Those are the vehicles whose picture should adorn your article.
There are plenty of poster children for irresponsible, gas guzzling cars, most of them from Germany. BMWs and Mercedes cars get horrendous mileage against vehicles of comparable power.
You're remark reminds of commandeer I once had. I got in a rather heated argument with him and was trying to make him understand the situation better. He finally glared at me and shouted... "Don't try and use logic on me sergeant"! I said "Yes sir I agree it was foolish of me".....
I like to point out the fact that my 436HP Vette gets the same gas mileage and has the same carbon footprint as my wifes 2002 Honda Odyssey minivan! That's stops most people in their tracks! My next favorite is the people with SUV's who think they get as good or better gas mileage than my "hotrod".
