I'm glad I came over to the C6 section and saw this. I think I found an 07 C6, but am only allowed to get it if I keep the exhaust stock sounding. Apparantly the wife thinks my 01 C5 is too loud. This may be the answer to my problem. I'm assuming that the Retrofit Kit will be all I need. I could do the mod without the wife knowing.

Any idea how much louder and more aggressive the stock 07 exhaust would sound with the kit? Or better yet, any sound clips available?

These types of kits will do nothing for a stock exhaust on a 2005-2007. They are designed to work with the bi-mode exhaust like is on the 2006-2008 Z06 or the NPP optional exhaust that is on the 2008- C6 coupe and convertible.

They allow you to operate the butterfly valve on command. Since the stock 2007 exhaust doesn't have a butterfly valve there is nothing to operate.

You would need to purchase and retrofit a Z06 or NPP exhuast on to the car in order to use one of these types of controllers.
