I've been reading posts here for a few months and have finally decided that I am buying a vette. The c6 vettes are just soo good looking. Anyways I am in the process of saving up, this could take some time so of course a million ideas have run through my head on what to do. First, I will be buying used as I feel I can get more car for the money. With that in mind I'm debating between a c6 or waiting even longer until a zo6 can be had for around 45k. What would you guys do? I'm 27 and in a few years plan to start the family so this could be the last toy I get in a while. BTW, I love the photo threads and if anyone wanted to post a picture to sway me in one direction or another... well that would be helpful

I've seen a few 06 (higher milage over 20k) in the mid fifties and there was a post about one that sold for 50,xxx on ebay. I'm guessing another year? maybe I'm just dreaming/wishing?

You might have a family started before you can get a Z06 for $45000. Then you might think you should wait much longer.

Wife is already eager for the kids, but I'm trying to hold off for a little while. If I just buy the c6 I could always mod it later to up the performance.

Don't get a Z06 my young friend. You think modding a Corvette is expensive? Forget about it! Children will cost you more money than you can imagine!!!
If you have your heart set on a C6, save your money, look around and find an '05 or '06 (with some miles on it). You can buy an '05 or '06 for $30k right now, and for thousands less in the future. Let some other guy take the depreciation hit. The C6 is a GREAT CAR! Everywhere you go people will say "wow, nice car". It's a CORVETTE for pete's sake!
