I picked up a nail in my rear runflat with only 700 miles. It was near the center. Goodyear plugged and patched it for 20 bucks. I now have about 2500 miles with no problems at all.

I went with the KDW's and should have them installed by the end of the week. I also ended up going a little larger than stock sizes with 255 in the front and 295 in the rear which will close the fender well gap another half inch or so.
Thanks for the info. I've been searching for a thread with a good listing of GY Supercar non run-flat replacement options. It'd be great to get a set that corner / launch as well or better, and cost a good bit less.

Default Tire's Dead

The tire is damaged beyond repair, so I'm either going to

1) Pay 50% ($250) for a replacement and buy a matching new one for the other rear ($500) and have the front / back out-of-synch in terms of wear, or

2) Scrap all 4 tires and buy a different style of tire.

I'll do some searching on here -- maybe someone has started a poll of the various tire options.

Not to start ANOTHER tire war, but I just got a complete set of Kumhos from Tire Rack for less than the price of 1 1/2 GY Super Cars. Just passing on the info...No Flames PLEASE!

I was going to go with the Kuhmo's but ended up with the BFG KDW's because I decided to go with a larger size tire (front 255/40R/18 | rear 295/35R/19).

If you stay with stock sizes and go with non run flats the Kuhmo's are a good choice.

Which Kuhmo's are you guys talking about? I have seen a lot about the BFG KDW2's, so that's high on my list. The PS2's are probably not in range given the price, but they sound like the ultimate performance tire.
