Like the similar gas cap warranty replacements. If it's a cheap part I can replace myself there's no way I'd waste my time letting the dealer get their hands on my car, but that's just me.

Yes - its covered under the warranty and thats why I had the dealer replace the drivers side bulb. I did read the owners manual and it sounded like a blind operation to remove/install the new bulb.

Success! Success! Finally had time to change the bulb.
Took me:
10 minutes to take 2 push pins off of the wheel well cover.
20 minutes to loosen bulb socket
15 minutes to pull socket out
15 minutes to drive to auto store and re-buy the bulbs(forgot where I put original purchase
15 seconds to shove bulb in socket
30 seconds to test bulb
45 seconds to shove socket in place, tighten to a click,and replace push pins
Good experience. Thanks for all the help.
