Default Leather door pull wrap?

Anyone installed one of these wrap-around leather door pulls for the C6?

Which manufacturer? Does it fit well and wear on well?

I'm working with Gerardo on a similar ( ) project. I'll be able to post some pics in a week or so. I don't have the parts yet.

Now, if Gerardo is doing door handle wraps, I don't even need to see them. I'd say just buy them. I had talked with him a long time ago about wraps.

Previously (Before DSVettes ) I've had the wraps on my C5. The basic catalog parts looked o.k. but the leather/vinyl started to wear a bit funny. I replaced them with another brand and they held up much, much better. If I were going for wraps I'd go with the Speed Lingerie product. Great quality leather and the fit seems perfect. They are a bit more expensive however.

Go to the products page and select Corvette, C6 and scroll down about half way on the page.

A second option would be these:

but these appear to be the same style that I had first in the C5 and failed after a couple of years of use.

We can wrap the door handles with leather. Here are some that we have made.

Gerardo does great work. I called him today about a few ideas that I had. Hopefully, he will be helping my interior out sometime soon.

Not to dis any forum vendor, BUT at what price difference? I have the Mid America pulls at a VERY reasonable price (34 dollars)... what is the price on the others? If they indeed "fail" ? in a couple of years, I would prefer to replace a $34 set. My $.02

Totally different animal. I was very happy with my $34 pulls as well until they failed. I was also happy with my replacements velcro wrap arounds.

I've now seen and experienced Gerardo's work and there really is no going back. You're happy with what you've got and that is all that matters.

Are the Speed Lingerie ones actually leather? I thought they were a different vinyl type material?

I had the ones from Mid America. Neither one of them fit very well and after a while the leather wasn't holding up either so I tossed them.

I believe them to be leather. I'm not positive but they are very thick by comparison and look and feel of leather. They held up very well.

Thanks, I guess even if they were vinyl if they're made the same way their bras are done then they should last a long time.

I have the leather handle wraps from MidAmerica. They are ok, but not the quality of other aftermarket leather products from Gerardo and Vette Essentials. I would love to get my handles done by either of them, but its a pain to remove them.

Here are mine from Mid America.
