Does anybody have first hand experience with Corsa Sport AND Corsa Extreme?

I'm ordering in the morning and need opinions. Highway driving @70 is the critical area. Are they equally 'drone-free'?

I have sports & NO drone, they seem to be the ONLY ones that have figured out how to do that. I have them on my 2006 A6 Z51 .
Good luck

I bought the Sports with X-Pipe, but I haven't installed them yet.

Both Extreme and Sport sound great. A lot of members in my club have them, but I felt the Extremes were a little too loud, especially on long drives.

If you can't hear them live, go to the Corsa website and listen to the audio, it will give you some idea of the difference.

From what I have read the extremes are 5 db louder than the sports. I have the sports with headers and still no droan. I personally would like a deeper American muscle sound. I will prob switch to the Borlas Touring from Jimmy at Atomic Autosports. Might have a little droan but that is ok with me.

I have Corsa Sports. With the stock exhaust manifolds, I thought they were a bit on the quiet side for me. Then I installed Kooks headers, cats, and xpipe. The Corsa sports now just scream at WOT, 3000rpm and above. If I didn't go with headers, I would lean towards the Xtreme. With headers, I am happy with my Corsa Sports. As always, it's tough to tell you what is too loud or not loud enough. No drone at 70mph though. Music to my ears.

Well, I've had the Corsa sport on my first C6 and was exceptionally happy. #2 was bone-stock. #3 is going to get a few add-ons to compensate my emotions and that I could not justify the $$$ for the ZO6.

But still need the noise to wake up the neighbors on the way to work!

I have the Extreme with no headers and they are just about perfect for me. With headers they may be on the loud side. Cruising at 70 they are fine.

I have a '07 A6 with Corsa Sports designed for the A6. Absolutely no drone at any RPM.

I have the Corsa Sport with LG headers.

You can talk or hear your stereo at cruising speeds.

No Drone

Nice rumble at idle.

Sounds mean at WOT.

I just had Corsa Sports installed the day before yesterday. The place where I purchased and had them installed is about 100 miles from home so I was able to have a pretty good ride at interstate speeds and noticed no drone. They are just about right for me. Sound pretty decent at idle and under acceleration, but not too loud.

You didnt say whether you had a manual or A6. In any event, Corsa guarantees NO drone for the Touring and Sports providing you use the complete package system. The Extreme's do not carry that guarantee. If you have the A6, its highly recommended to use the Corsa H-Pipe with the Extremes to reduce noise and drone.

I didnt think the Sports were too quiet after replacing the stock exhaust! I was pleasantly surprised after adding Kooks headers that there was still no drone and made little sound difference at idle, freeway cruising and below 3500 rpm. However, above 3500 rpm, it sounds like a racing car!
