I took the transparent top out of my 2008 C6 and it is much windier than my 1998 Tans Am with the T-Tops removed. A friend of mine has a 2004 Coupe and it is windy to. Must be the inherent design of the Corvette. Not a big deal but, just an oberservation

That's why I always say "a coupe with the top off is nowhere near the same as a vert with the top back". The wind in the coupe is downright brutal. I installed a partition from Exotic Vettes and that seems to cut down on some of the buffeting. It is also incredibly functional, forming somewhat of a secure trunk when the top is stowed in the back. Might be worth looking into.

To be honest, I prefer the t-tops in my 01 Formula to the targa roof on my Vette. They are much easier to remove, store, and re-install. I take my t-tops off all the time. Very rarely do I remove the roof on the Vette. I do notice a difference in the amount of wind inside the Vette but it doesn't really bother me.

Yep it's like a wind tunnel, actually just driving with the windows down with the top still on gives a similar effect.

Leave the cargo shade attached when you're driving with the windows down and enjoy the flapping, like a sailboat.

I tend to leave the top on unless I'm on secondary roads cruising along. I find it's okay up to about 45 or 50 depending on how windy the day is. Raising the windows help's extend it a bit more but faster than that and it's ear plugs and buffeting.

My thoughts are different. Before buying the coupe, I spent some time in a vert. I didn't think there was any significant difference in wind buffeting between the two.

I stand corrected. Never having ridden in a C6 Vert with the top down, I just assumed it had to be better than the coupe with the top off. I couldn't imagine doing a really long trip with the top off...it would be miserable.

I notice that if I lower the windows about 1/4 that the buffeting diminishes some.

I had some latch extenders for the rear deck on my C5 that vented the inside. They really helped the buffeting. Does anyone make something similar for the C6?
