During the winter months when I don't drive the Corvette often, I keep it covered and on a battery tender. Said tender has a red light that indicates power to the unit and a green light that is steady when charging and flashing when fully charged.
Tonight I decided to finish up changing all the clocks - including those in the cars. While in the Vette, I turned on the interior lights to see what I was doing and apparently inadvertently unplugged the charger. When going back into the house, I noticed there was no green light. Uh-oh, I thought, I unplugged the charger. Up came the cover and WHAT! lights. I had left the interior lights on. Had it not been for checking the charger, I would have experienced my first dead battery in the C6
Hmmmm, I guess there is a good reason for changing the clock in the Vette when it is covered up and put away for the Winter, no point in waiting until you ready to put it back on the road. But yes it was an interesting story and the Battery Tender you were using did have a side benefit.
