Default Need Console Help - please

I took my console off today (07 A6 vert). The plug for the traction control button seemed a bit stubborn to unplug.

After getting it loose, here is the "male" end pigtail and "female" end receptable that was left:

Back of the Console:

In addition, this "push button" rubber gasket came out... it has a coppper contact in the bottom of it:

Can you tell if I have broken the traction control push button? I assume this is not how it was supposed to come apart? ...does anyone have suggestions for getting it back together or do I need to order some replacement parts?

Thanks for any expertise or suggestions you can offer!

Well, it's broken. Not sure if you can figure out how to get it back together or not. Time to see the parts man at the dealer. It should be available separately. FYI - when you buy a new console that switch IS installed in there.

It should have come out where the gray connector meets the base under where it says "Canada" in the first picture. I'd say it is time to order a new traction control button.

You can find it at Gene Culley's website here:
