Just made an appointment to get the windows tinted and the shop said they offer 2 types of tint; dyed & metallic. I've heard bad things about the metallic tint with regards to XM & Nav but I've never heard of a dyed tint. They also said they were having trouble with the ceramic and no longer offer it.
Any info on dyed window tint?
FYI for anyone in the Houston area, Mobile Audio on Louetta (who was referred by the forum) says they are struggling with the rear glass and referred me to another shop. I'm now going to the old Xtreme Auto Tint, its now Gulf Coast I believe.
If you have a nav system stay away from metallic tint, it can cause interference with satellite reception. If not, it will come down to what look you prefer. The metallics that I have seen are typically more reflective on the outside. The silver and gold foil tints come to mind.
